Welcome
to the Southeast Warren Primary Center. Located in Milo, Iowa, we serve students in grades
Kindergarten through 3rd grade. We are also the home of the Sunrise Sunset Daycare to serve
our community with daycare needs for both before and after school care and all day care.
SOUTHEAST WARREN PRIMARY
Creating Opportunities for a Lifetime!
November 13, 2009
Thanks to the PIE volunteers who manned our fall fundraiser pickup on Monday afternoon.
Thanks also to all of the parents and students who participated in this, one of our biggest
fundraisers of the school year. We appreciate your generosity! Thanks to our veterans
who attended Wednesday’s program.
Small Town Country Christmas and our annual cookie walk are quickly approaching. In
tonight’s backpack you will find the cookie walk and basket raffle ticket sales
volunteer sign up form and the cookie donation form. Please consider carefully how you
can help us out. The cookie walk and basket raffles require many, many donations of cookies
and raffle items, as well as a good number of people to prepare trays, set up the tables,
replenish the trays, sell the items, and then clean up afterwards. As in the past, any
unsold cookies after Small Town Country Christmas will be served to the children and
our guests at the elementary Christmas concert on December 7th.

Also in the backpack, you will find a form for you to record Casey
donut and/or pizza card sales that you and/or your child make by December 3rd, the end of
that sale. The Casey punch cards are a great deal! I purchased my first delicious dozen
cake doughnuts and paid only $3.49 with my punch card this week at our local Casey’s.
That’s a savings of $2.50 per dozen. My husband and I couldn’t eat a whole dozen
at one time, so I kept the remaining ones fresh by freezing them in individual freezer bags.
And what family wouldn’t benefit from the opportunity to purchase ten easy hot meals
that just about everyone loves when cooking time is limited? The savings with the pizza
punch card is $10.49 for each purchase of a large specialty pizza and a medium single topping
pizza. Remember, you are allowed to make ten separate purchases with those same savings
with each card you purchase! What a great way to support not only our school, but also one
of our most viable local businesses!
As you probably have already heard, a terrible accident has forever affected a local
family. Brayden Dittmer is the 4 ½ year old son of Justin & Deanna Dittmer
and brother of Shea, kindergartner in our building. Brayden lost his leg in a farming
accident last weekend. Please consider showing your support of the family by donating
to one of the several containers that have been placed at local businesses throughout
the community. There has been an account set up in Brayden’s name at Wells Fargo
Bank. Contributions can be made to the Brayden Dittmer Benefit Fund. There will be a
Benefit Dinner & Auction for Brayden on January 30, 2010, at the SEW high school.
